- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Simmer until the liquid reduces by half.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Preheat another skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place two slices of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
- Layer on cheddar, then the beef mixture, followed by mozzarella. Top with remaining bread slices, butter side up.
- Grill each side for 3–4 minutes until golden and the cheese melts.
- Slice and serve warm. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave. Prepare the beef mixture ahead of time for quick dinners.
