  • 1 lb ground beef You may substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded You can substitute with mozzarella or pepper jack cheese.
  • 1 bag tater tots (32 oz) Use frozen tater tots directly from the freezer.
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, then drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and season with salt and pepper.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Top with the cheddar cheese, then arrange the tater tots on top of the cheese.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Notes
