Ingredients
  

For the Rice and Chicken
  • 2 cups cooked rice Use any type of rice you prefer.
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, diced Ensure chicken is cut into small pieces for quick cooking.
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • 2 tbsp honey Can substitute with maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar Provides acidity to balance the flavors.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Toasting it enhances the flavor.
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced Fresh ginger is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil Used for cooking the chicken.
For Garnishing
  • green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • sesame seeds For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
  2. In a pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the diced chicken and cook until brown and cooked through.
  2. Pour the sauce over the chicken and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken over cooked rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 2 months.
