Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp ground allspice
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups apple cider Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Crust
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar For crust
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon For crust
  • 2 tbsp melted butter For brushing on top

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth. Then stir in the apple cider and vanilla.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool slightly.
Topping
  1. Mix together cinnamon and sugar for the topping.
  2. Brush melted butter on top of the loaf before generously sprinkling the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  3. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator. Avoid overmixing to ensure a fluffy loaf. Consider adding nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
