  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for better flavor.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Garlic powder For seasoning.
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese Cheese can be swapped for pepper jack or mozzarella.

  • pickles For serving.
  • diced onions For serving.
  • burger sauce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season well.
Cooking
  1. Cook the beef side down for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  2. Flip the tortilla, sprinkle generously with cheese, fold it in half, and grill both sides until crispy and melty.
  3. Slice and serve with your favorite burger toppings or dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat on the skillet for best texture.
