Ingredients
  

For the quesadillas
  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • to taste salt To season the beef.
  • to taste pepper To season the beef.
  • to taste garlic powder To season the beef.
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese Feel free to use pepper jack for a spicy kick.
Optional toppings
  • pickles For a tangy crunch.
  • diced onions For added flavor.
  • burger sauce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season them well with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of garlic powder.
  3. Cook the beef side down for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  4. Flip the tortillas over, sprinkle the cheese on top, and fold them in half.
Cooking
  1. Grill both sides until crispy and melty.
  2. Slice and serve with your favorite burger toppings or dipping sauce.

Notes

These quesadillas can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or skillet for best results. For a veggie version, substitute the beef with black beans or roasted vegetables.
