  • 1 lb Ground beef Use lean beef for a healthier option.
  • 8 pieces Taco shells Warm before assembling.
  • 1 cup Cheese Use cheddar or American.
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded or chopped.
  • 1 medium Tomato Diced.
  • 1 medium Onion Diced; can substitute with jalapeƱos for heat.
  • 1/2 cup Pickles
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into loose balls and smash them onto the skillet with a spatula.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy, then flip and add cheese on top to melt.
  5. Warm the taco shells in another skillet or the microwave.
  6. Assemble tacos with smashed burgers, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Pair with crispy nachos or guacamole. Keep taco shells warm and fill just before serving to maintain crispiness. For variations, consider chicken, turkey, or a plant-based substitute.
