Ingredients
  

Seed Mixture
  • 80 g pumpkin seeds
  • 80 g sunflower seeds
  • 80 g sesame seeds
  • 50 g ground flaxseed / linseed
Flavoring Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder (or granules)
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder (or granules)
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (e.g., oregano)
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for brushing)
  • 410 ml warm water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, add the sesame, pumpkin, sunflower seeds, and ground flaxseed. Give it a good stir.
  2. Toss in the salt, dried herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast, and stir again.
  3. Pour in the olive oil and warm water next. Mix until it’s all combined. Cover and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 170C (340F) and line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the seed mixture onto the tray and pat it down with a spoon until evenly thin.
  3. Brush it with a little more olive oil and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Once done, let it cool completely before breaking into pieces. Store them in an airtight container.

Notes

Don’t skip the resting time! Adjust seasoning based on your preference. Try adding honey for a sweet version. Seed varieties can be swapped based on availability.
