Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the cooked sausage, followed by any optional bread or vegetables.
- Pour the egg mixture over the top and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can assemble the casserole the night before and bake it in the morning for easy prep. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3-4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
