Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

- Gradually mix in your dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the caramel chips and optional chocolate chips.
Baking
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt just before baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For a thicker cookie, chill your dough for 30 minutes before baking. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert.
