  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together chicken, rice, both soups, broth, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil, sprinkle the cheese on top, and bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added nutrition, sneak in some frozen peas or spinach. Leftover turkey can be substituted for chicken. Experiment with different types of cheese.
