  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., almond or peanut butter) Use any nut butter of your choice.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) Add for extra sweetness.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground flax seeds, rolled oats, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.

Notes

Store the protein balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen, layered between parchment paper.
