Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 package pre-made pie crusts Use your favorite brand.
Filling
  • 3 cups peeled and diced apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp are recommended.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Use fresh for better flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg Freshly grated is best.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Adds brightness to the filling.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For richness, add on top of filling.
  • a pinch salt Enhances flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crusts and cut circles that will fit your muffin tin.
  3. In a bowl, mix the apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt. Stir until the apples are well coated.
Assembly
  1. Place the dough circles into the muffin tin.
  2. Fill each crust with the apple mixture, leaving some room for the joy to bubble over.
  3. Add a dab of butter on top of the filling in each pie.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool a bit, and then enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
