  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate chips for best flavor.
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk You can use a plant-based version for a vegan option.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Pecans or walnuts add great texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chopped nuts if using.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours until set.
  6. Once set, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Let it cool completely in the fridge before cutting. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
