  • 8 oz pasta Any type of pasta you prefer
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for best flavor
  • 2 cups milk Can be substituted for almond or oat milk for a vegan option
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Can swap with mozzarella or goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter For sautéing garlic and adding richness
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Adds a touch of color and flavor

  1. In a large pot or skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Toss in the pasta and pour in the milk. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Follow the package instructions until the pasta is al dente and the sauce thickens (about 10-12 minutes).
  4. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Remove from heat and let the dish sit for a couple of minutes to thicken further.
  6. Scoop it onto plates and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Perfect pasta isn’t a gamble: stir often as it cooks to prevent clumping. This dish can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, and can be made ahead of time. To reheat, add a splash of milk for the creamy texture.
