  • 2 cups sunflower seeds (270 grams)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (45 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (30 ml)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 F).
  2. Warm the honey in the microwave or on the stove.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the honey, coconut oil, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add your sunflower seeds to the bowl and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the coated seeds onto a lined baking tray in a single layer.
Roasting
  1. Roast in the oven for about 5 minutes, stirring gently halfway through.
  2. Continue roasting for another 5-10 minutes until they are dark golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and let them cool.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or in the fridge for longer freshness. Adjust sweetness with more honey if desired. Experiment with spices like cayenne for a kick.
