  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon cinnamon Optional but adds delicious flavor.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup sugar Optional, to adjust sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Core and slice the apples into manageable pieces.
  2. In a large pot, combine the apple slices and water.
Cooking
  1. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 30-40 minutes until apples are soft.
  2. Add cinnamon and sugar, if desired, to sweeten the cider.
  3. Mash the apples to release their juice.
  4. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to obtain clear cider.
Serving
  1. Serve the cider warm or chilled based on your preference.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week. For long-term storage, consider freezing in portions.
