Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  3. In a large baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes evenly.
  4. Spread the cooked ground beef over the potatoes.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the meat layer.
  6. Add any additional vegetables you'd like on top.
  7. Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the entire dish.
Cooking
  1. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  3. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a rustic feel, serve straight from the baking dish. Pair with a fresh side salad or garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for 3 months.
