Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup dried lentils Ensure they are rinsed before soaking.
  • 2 cups water (for soaking and blending) Use half the amount if using canned lentils.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional) Skip if not preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For greasing the loaf pan.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the lentils under cold water and soak them in water for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain and rinse the lentils, then blend them with 2 cups of water until smooth.
  3. Add salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin to the blended mixture.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with olive oil.
  2. Pour the lentil mixture into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is firm and lightly browned.
  4. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Bread can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for about three months. Reheat by toasting or microwaving.
