Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, mix the wet ingredients: apple cider, applesauce, melted coconut oil, maple syrup (or honey), eggs, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, sift together the dry ingredients: gluten-free flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full. Use a piping bag for less mess.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once done, let them cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Serving
- Serve warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, a drizzle of glaze, or chocolate sauce.
- Dip them in coffee for an ultimate cozy experience.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for a week. Freeze individually wrapped for longer storage.
