  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional) Optional for added flavor
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls Fresh rolls are recommended
  • 8 oz provolone cheese (or cheese of choice) For a gooey topping
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning
  • Oil for sautéing For cooking the vegetables

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and sauté the sliced onions (and bell pepper if using) until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until fully browned.
  3. Preheat your oven or a toaster oven.
Assembly
  1. Once the beef is cooked, divide it among the hoagie rolls and top with cheese.
  2. Place the filled rolls in the oven until the cheese melts and the rolls toast.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 3-4 days, or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven for best results.
