Preparation
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes until firm.
Coating and Decorating
- Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions.
- Dip the chilled Oreo balls into the melted green candy, coating them completely.
- Return the truffles to the baking sheet and let them set.
- Decorate with red candy melt for the Santa hat and use black icing for the eyes.
- Allow the decorations to set before serving.
Notes
These truffles last about one week in the fridge, and can be frozen for up to three months. You can prepare them in advance for holiday gatherings.
