Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds for gooey cookies.
