For the Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted until golden brown
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well blended.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in the dark chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can add a pinch of cinnamon for extra warmth. If using a gluten-free flour blend, ensure it contains xanthan gum for better texture. Experiment with different chocolate types and nuts for added flavor.
