Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well blended.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the dark chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can add a pinch of cinnamon for extra warmth. If using a gluten-free flour blend, ensure it contains xanthan gum for better texture. Experiment with different chocolate types and nuts for added flavor.
