  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch recommended
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix cooked macaroni with shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool, then form into small balls or bites.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each bite in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the bites in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  3. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with marinara or ranch dipping sauce. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for two months.
