Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Ensure to heat for safety
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar light or dark
  • 1/2 tsp salt Omit if using salted butter
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter salted or unsalted, softened
  • 2-4 tbsp milk Add more or less as needed
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165℉ (about 40–60 seconds). Alternatively, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350℉ for about 3–5 minutes.
  2. Whisk or sift the flour to remove lumps and let it cool.
Mixing
  1. In a mixer, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the cooled flour, vanilla, and salt. Pour in the milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Gently fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.

Notes

For best flavor and texture, chill your dough in the fridge before serving. It can be stored in the fridge for about a week or frozen for up to three months.
