Ingredients
  

Wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup oil or 1 stick (1/2 cup) melted butter Choose between oil for a fudgier texture or melted butter for flavor.
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Dry ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Add more for extra chocolatey flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Leave out if there is a nut allergy.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a small baking pan (8×8).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine your oil or melted butter, cocoa powder, and sugar. Mix until it’s smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix until everything is combined.
  4. Stir in the flour and salt until nicely mixed.
  5. Spread the batter into your greased or lined pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes

To make brownies even more chocolatey, increase the amount of chocolate chips. Serve warm with ice cream and top with chocolate syrup or powdered sugar. Store at room temperature for 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
