  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust sweetness level to taste
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Optional, for added nutrition and color
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  4. If using, add the broccoli florets on top of the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the sauce before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve over cooked rice or noodles to soak up the teriyaki sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop. For variations, use frozen chicken, add red pepper flakes for heat, or substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh for a vegan version.
