Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs Fresh or dry breadcrumbs can be used.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Grated or shredded Parmesan works.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the meatballs.
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped Adds flavor to the meatballs.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Chop finely for better flavor release.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust based on taste preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper Freshly ground is recommended.
For Cooking
  • 1 can French onion soup (10.5 oz) Use a quality brand for best flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Sprinkled on top for a delicious finish.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, roughly 1 inch in diameter.
Cooking
  1. Place the meatballs in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the French onion soup over the meatballs.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and cover until melted.
Serving
