Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Set up three shallow dishes: first one with flour, second one with whisked eggs, and the third one with a mixture of bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
Cooking
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into the whisked eggs, then coat with the bread crumb mixture.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice and zest, then fold in the parsley.
- Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the cooked chicken and serve.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the sauce for optimal flavor. Consider letting the chicken sit for a few minutes after baking for easier slicing. Swap in panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch if desired.
