Crispy Air Fryer Churro Bites

Deliciously crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these churro bites are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

Churro Base
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Coating
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
Frying
  • to taste none Oil spray

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and 1 tablespoon sugar; bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour until smooth.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and salt.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Use a piping bag to pipe small bites onto parchment paper.
  6. Spray churro bites lightly with oil.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon together; roll the warm churro bites in this sugar mixture.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra crunch, don’t skip the oil spray before you air fry! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
