Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Blend the cottage cheese in a food processor or blender until smooth.
- In a medium bowl, combine the blended cottage cheese and self-rising flour until the dough pulls away from the sides.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 times until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces, roll each into a rope, and shape into bagels, sealing the seams.
- Brush with the beaten egg and add toppings.
Baking
- Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for a couple of months. For reheating, pop them in the oven or microwave for a few seconds.
