Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugar on medium speed until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth, scraping the sides with a rubber spatula.
- Reduce to low speed, slowly add the dry ingredients, and mix just until combined.
- Fold in the chopped Oreos and white chocolate chips evenly.
- Use a small cookie scoop (about 2 tablespoons) to shape the cookies and gently press them down.
Baking
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges are set. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Substitute white chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate for a twist.
