  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey Choose ground beef or turkey based on your preference.
  • 2 cups pasta Any shape of pasta can be used.
  • 1 jar marinara sauce Jarred marinara sauce for convenience.
  • 2 cups cheese Use mozzarella or cheddar cheese.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasonings
  • Olive oil for cooking A splash of olive oil to cook the meat.
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional) For garnish.

  1. In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings.
  2. While the meat cooks, boil your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Once the meat is ready, stir in the marinara sauce and cooked pasta. Mix it all together and top with cheese.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and let the cheese melt for about 5 minutes. Optionally, add some fresh basil or parsley.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy your meal with family!

Notes

Serve this cheesy dish directly from the skillet or plate it up, garnished with fresh herbs. Pair with a salad or garlic bread. For storing, keep in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
