Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the apple cider, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
Baking
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
Serving
- Serve warm, optionally with a dusting of powdered sugar or a glaze.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter—it's okay to have a few lumps. For variations, try adding chopped nuts, caramel sauce, or swapping some apple cider for pumpkin puree.
