Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 2 cups apple cider Reduce it for maximum flavor!
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
  2. In a saucepan, bring the apple cider to a boil and reduce until it’s about ¾ cup.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and the reduced apple cider.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Pipe or spoon the batter into your greased donut pan, leaving some room for them to rise.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Let them cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar or a light cinnamon-sugar coating. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for 2-3 months.
