Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan.
- Boil the apple cider in a saucepan until it reduces to about a cup. Cool it down.
- In one bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cooled apple cider, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly combine the wet and dry ingredients. Don’t overmix; a few lumps are fine.
- Fill the donut pan about 2/3 full with the batter.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the donuts cool, mix sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
Coating
- Brush each donut with melted butter and then dunk them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Experiment with different spices for variations.
