  • 1 lb chicken tenders Tender cuts of chicken.
  • 8 slices bacon Regular or thick-cut bacon can be used.
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Can substitute with coconut sugar for a healthier option.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free option.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Or to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Or to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until combined.
  3. Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Place the wrapped tenders in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the brown sugar mixture generously over the chicken tenders.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
  2. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the baking dish to ensure each tender gets crispy. For spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze. Can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu.
