Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the apple cider, sugar, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fill each donut mold about halfway with the batter.
Baking
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the donuts are baking, mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl for coating.
Serving
- Let the donuts cool for a few minutes, then toss them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm and enjoy with a cup of coffee.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature. Freeze for longer storage.
