Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature recommended.
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients: apple cider, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fill each donut cavity about two-thirds full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Transfer the donuts to a wire rack to cool.

Notes

Serve warm with powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for a couple of days, or refrigerate for a week.
