Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients: apple cider, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
- Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
- Fill each donut cavity about two-thirds full.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Transfer the donuts to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
Serve warm with powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for a couple of days, or refrigerate for a week.
