Ingredients
  

For the patties
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
For the sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup green beans (optional) Feel free to add for extra texture

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, bread crumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties and place them in a baking dish.
Cooking
  1. In a separate pan, sauté the mushrooms until soft, then pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Pour the broth and mushrooms over the patties in the baking dish.
  3. If using, add green beans around the patties.
  4. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your hearty meal!

Notes

Don’t overmix the meat for tender patties. Add herbs for an extra kick, and swap breadcrumbs for crushed crackers if needed.
