  • 2 slices thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your personal fave)
  • 1 tablespoon butter optional
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread and press a well into the center.
  3. Crack one egg into the well of each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese around the edges or on top of the whites.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 6–8 minutes until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melted.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs, then serve hot.

Notes

Timing is key; check around the 6-minute mark to ensure eggs are cooked to your preference. For a gourmet twist, top with cooked bacon or avocado after cooking.
