Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
Wet Ingredients and Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups diced apples Sweet varieties like Honeycrisp or Fuji preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cooking spray or oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
Cooking
  1. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
  3. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through if needed.
  4. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly.
Serving
  1. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These fritters are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month.
